Family Journal: Week 12: Mar.19th-Mar.25th

Saturday, March 19th: Today was supposed to be Opening Day for baseball, unfortunately, the rain has not stopped so it was moved to next Saturday. Carson still wasn't feeling very well, but his fever has gone down. We spent the day hanging out inside. It just won't stop raining.

Sunday, March 20th: Today was another inside day. When will this rain stop? Josh volunteered at a bake sale for his squadron for a few hours. The kids watched movies and played Legos.

Monday, March 21st: Today Parker had speech. He did a great job! He really like his speech therapist Alba. Carson earned enough tickets to help out the librarian at school, during the time Cooper's class went to the library. He thought that was really cool!

Tuesday, March 22nd: Today the boys weren't feeling 100%, just a cold. So, we stayed home and watched movies. The kids were all tired. It rained all day. It was a nice day to stay home and stay dry.

Wednesday, March 23rd: Today was the boys went to school. I had to get Carson out a little early. We had to drive back out to the base to fix something with our passport paperwork. It took 5 minutes. We came home and had an early dinner.

Thursday, March 24th: Today was really stormy and rainy. I think we got almost 2 inches of rain today, and it hasn't stopped yet. Josh had an overseas briefing and he learned a lot. Baseball is of course still canceled. They have already canceled Saturday's games and Opening Ceremony.

Friday, March 25th: Today Carson earned enough tickets to have lunch with the principal. He was very excited about that. Both boys had a great day at school. It was even stormier today. It's crazy. We have had so much rain.

Family Journal: Week 11: Mar.12th-Mar.18th

Saturday, March 12th: Today we all slept in. It was so nice! Carson had practice at 1:00. It was cold but it wasn't raining, so that was nice. Carson is really loving baseball. Today we got his team shirt and hat. He is #2, Daddy's favorite number. He was very happy about that! Tonight the kids watched a movie. Josh and I caught up on some of our shows.

Sunday, March 13th: Today was relaxing day. It rained all day, surprise, surprise. The kids had fun playing Legos and Barbies. We had a yummy family dinner and treat. This upcoming week is going to be busy, but not as crazy as last week.

Monday, March 14th: Today Parker had speech. He really loves going to speech. He works so hard when he is there. Carson had early release today, so we had all afternoon to hang out. It poured so we were stuck inside. It was a long afternoon trying to keep everyone entertained.

Tuesday, March 15th: Today it poured. It has rained so much lately. The kids are getting a little stir crazy. It doesn't look like the weather is going to get better in the next 10 days or more. Because of the rain, Carson's first game was canceled. He was bummed. Josh had to work late so the kids and I made pancakes and watched a movie.

Wednesday, March 16th: Today we had our big medical review. The boys stayed home from school because we had to be out at the base at 8:30. We passed our medical clearance- so the kids and I are all cleared to go to Japan! After the meeting went and got our passport pictures taken, got the kids ID cards, and got some of the passport paperwork completed. It was a very successful day!

Thursday, March 17th: Today was St. Patrick's Day. All the kids were so excited to wear their green. Carson had a field trip to the Ballet. He really enjoyed it. We finally had an afternoon with no rain. Both boys had baseball practice at the same time in different places. Luckily Josh was able to get off work early to help out. At Cooper's practice we just ended up handing out uniforms because the field was way too muddy. Cooper is #2 also! I had Emma and Parker with me. After Cooper's practice we went to Carson's. The kids played while Josh and I watched Carson for a little bit. Josh had to leave early to work the Snack Bar. Carson had a great time at practice and is doing so much better!

Friday, March 18th: Today was a special day for Carson and Cooper. Both boys received awards today at school. Both had no idea we were coming so they were very surprised. Carson got 3 awards: Meeting his AR reading goal, Achievement in Math & Reading, and being a Great Citizen. Cooper got an award for Achievement in Math and Counting to 100. We are so proud of both boys!! When Carson got home from school he wasn't feeling very good and had a fever. We watched movies and rested. Carson fell asleep at 5 and woke up at 7 still feeling icky. He went back to bed with another fever. No fun.

Family Journal: Week 10: Mar.5th-Mar.11th

Saturday, March 5th: Today we had donuts and cinnamon rolls. We didn't do much today. The kids played. Nothing too exciting. Carson had practice at 4. I took him. He did great. I have to say though, I have the hardest time watching him at bat. It is so stressful!

Sunday, March 6th: Today was relaxing day. I went grocery shopping. I actually did great. I saved 51%, $142. The manager had to come over and approve it. I usually save around 44%, so it must be over 50%. The kids played all day and watched a movie. We had a yummy Sunday family dinner. Then we watched "Amazing Race" and it was in Japan!

Monday, March 7th: Today was the beginning of our crazy busy week. I took the boys to school. Parker had speech. He did a great job. Emma came with me because Josh was working. We picked Cooper up and came home for lunch. Then we headed back to the school at 1:00 to pick up Carson. All 4 kids had dentist appointments. I'm so happy they were able to fit all 4 in on the same day instead of different days. All 4 had their x-rays done, teeth cleaned and checked out. Carson has a few issues. Cooper has 2 issues. Emma and Parker had no cavities and it was their first dentist appointment ever. We were there for 2 hours. It was a long process with 4 kids!

Tuesday, March 8th: Today was very busy. 6:00 AJ came over. 7:30 boys went to school. 11:00 picked Cooper up from school. 11:30 ate lunch. 1:45 AJ went home. 2:00 picked Carson up from school early. 3:00-4:00 Carson and Cooper's doctor appointments. 5:00 Josh and Emma took Carson to his baseball practice at Foskett Ranch. Parker and I took Cooper to his practice at McBean Park. 6:30 both practices ended 7:00 dinner 7:30 bedtime for the kids 8:30 bedtime for Josh and I.

Wednesday, March 9th: Today we had Parker and Emma's doctor appointments. Parker wasn't too happy about it, but he was quite for the most part. Both of them were unsure about the gowns. Emma talked and talked. Carson went home with Cam after school. Although, we were home by 3:05. He stayed and played over there until dinner time. He is really going to miss Cam. Carson did so awesome on his behavior chart. Red is the highest you can get and he got a double red, off the chart!!!

Thursday, March 10th: Today was the first day we didn't have any appointments, so nice! It was wonderful just hanging out with no where do go, other than driving back and forth from school. The boys finished up their homework packets. Then they spent the rest of the evening playing with their stuffed Mario and Luigi. They are so into those stuffed toys!

Friday, March 11th: Today the boys brought home their report cards. Cooper did great! He just needs to work on his handwriting, but he is excelling in math! Carson is doing awesome. He got all 3's- the best you can get. His teacher had so many nice things to say about him. We are so proud of both boys! We had our usual pizza for dinner. Josh went out with some friends from work. The kids and I watched "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" which the kids love.
