Today I spent a few hours with my nephew Holden. He is so tiny and so sweet. It was amazing holding a newborn again! The kids had a great day with Grandpa. They played outside all day and just had so much fun! The boys thought it would be fun to sleep outside, so they slept on the deck for a few hours. My Dad moved them in the middle of the night because they were getting a little damp. The boys thought it was so cool!

The kids were so excited to be out of the car and to be at Grandma & Grandpa's! After unpacking my mom and I headed over to Nikki's to meet baby Holden. Our new nephew is so adorable. He is just perfect!

Today was a much cooler day, so nice. There was a breeze this morning and we didn't have to turn the air conditioning on until 2:00ish. The kids were pretty good today. They played Barbies most the day, even the boys. All 4 of them are having so much fun with all the new Barbies. For dinner I made spaghetti and homemade wheat breadsticks. We all had a nice dinner together and then we went out for frozen yogurt. The kids love going there because they get to pick their own topping. We had a really nice evening together!

Today we got up early and went to Church. Josh and I were so tired but we went and were both really happy we did. We came home. Josh started cleaning and I went to the grocery store. After lunch I started Emma's birthday cake. She decided on a white chocolate raspberry swirl cake. The cake took all day to make. The house took Josh all day to clean. In the middle of decorating the Barbie cake Parker bashed his eye on the corner of the window seal. There was blood everywhere which of course sent Josh and Carson into panic mode. He has a pretty big gash near his eyebrow/eye- but not too close. Its pretty much in the same spot as Carson & Cooper's scar. Crazy. The Basset family came over for Emma's birthday party. We opened presents, had cake, and played on the slip'n'slide. Emma got some great gifts and she is so excited to play with everything. Thank you everyone!!

Today I became an Auntie again. Nikki had Holden at 2:47am. He weighed 7lbs, 7oz. He is just adorable!!! The kids were very excited to see pictures of him when they woke up. Parker in particular really loved the pictures. We spent the day hanging out. Nicole, Cameron and Tanner came by for a little bit. Tanner is getting so big, almost 10lbs now! The kids are ready for Daddy to come home. They miss him alot!

Today we stayed home and played. I wanted to stay home so I could be by the phone because my sister-in-law was induced at 6am. The kids are so excited for baby Holden to be born. We had a long talk about babies and how baby Holden would be entering the world. They were quite interested. I'm so happy I get to be an Auntie again! As of now, no baby yet and she is 7 cm.

Today was Emma's 4th Birthday. She woke up early and went to Starbucks with Daddy. We opened a few presents then went to the boys' soccer practice. Josh had to leave after practice to head up to Portland for the arrival of our nephew tomorrow. After practice we came home, had lunch and played Barbies. After Parker's nap we went to the spray park. The kids had so much fun there! It was a great park with lots to do. Then we went to the store, picked out a cake, got dinner and played Barbies. Emma opened presents from my parents while they watched on skype. We played some more Barbies, sang happy birthday, and had cake. We will be having a big party for her on Sunday. I think she had a great day today. I still can't believe my baby girl is 4!

They all went on the rides, everyone ate a special treat to cool off, Parker won a smurf, Carson went down the super tall slide, Emma got a pink monkey and Cooper got a dragon. We stayed at the fair until almost 6. It was a very hot and sweaty day but the kids had so much fun!

Today we went to Church. Parker was crying when we parked. He knew what was going on. He screamed when we dropped him and off and picked him up. However, his teacher said he did so much better. He played and stopped crying for a little bit! I was nervous since we had missed 2 weeks. But he did alot better. The big kids all had a great time, of course! We rested during the day. The kids played the wii, colored, and played hot wheels. After dinner we played in the pool and slip'n'slide. It was hot but the kids loved playing in the water!

Today we all went to Emma's ballet class. The boys all behaved so well. They loved watching Emma be the star. After ballet we all went to the party store. Emma has picked a barbie theme. After the party store we came home and had lunch. I went out and got Emma some birthday presents and then went grocery shopping. It was so hot- 106. No fun, especially when you are running errands. We spent the rest of the day relaxing, even Josh!

Today was a super hot day. Hot weather + staying inside = bored and cranky little ones. We colored and tried to do some new activities. Its just hard when day after day it is over 100. We all helped Josh clean up the house. The kids watched a movie before bed and thats about it.
Friday, July 16, 2010
Today was very hot. We made a quick trip to Target which of course meant we were there for an hour. We had to go up and down every toy isle. But, their favorite part of Target was the freezer section. To conserve energy the lights in the freezers come on when you stand in front of them. They had so much fun jumping in front of the freezers. Such silly little kids. Before bed we watched a new episode of "Minute to Win It" and of course they loved it.
Thursday, July 15, 2010
Today the boys had their first day of soccer. They loved getting all dressed in their gear. Both boys had a great time. Cooper smiled and laughed the whole time. Carson said it was alot easier than football. They were hot and tired after but loved it! We spent the afternoon resting, watching Jurassic Park, and making a milk chocolate cake with triple chocolate fudge frosting. After that they convinced me to go outside. I put the pool up and we played outside for 3 hours. When Josh got home from working out and running he put the slip'n'slide up and we had a big water fight again. The kids were exhausted and fell asleep in our bed watching a movie.
Wednesday, July 14, 2010
Today was a better day. The kids played with their army guys in their secret hideout- our closet. We practiced our ABC's for awhile. The boys got all their soccer gear ready for tomorrow. They are very excited for soccer. Josh ran 7 miles in the heat which I think is just crazy. Nothing too exciting today.
Tuesday, July 13, 2010
Today Josh had to go back to work. After being off for so long he really wasn't looking forward to going. The kids had a rough day. Lots of crabbiness and whining. It is so hard to get back into our routine! For treat I made a white peach & raspberry crisp. It was so yummy and Josh even said it was the best dessert ever! We watched a little TV but Josh was in bed early. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day with a whole lot less whiny and way more listening!
Monday, July 12, 2010

Today was hot, hot, hot. The kids played outside in the morning. In the afternoon we all went and saw Toy Story 3. It was such a cute movie. Everyone really liked it. It was Emma's first movie. She did great. Josh and I went over to a friends house for a BBQ. It was so nice reconnecting with old friends. We had a great time and were up really late, something that doesn't happen that often for us anymore.
Tuesday, July 6, 2010
Today everyone was a little tired after our late night. However, it was a beautiful day so the kids played outside all day again. I had a little Mommy and Me get together with some friends from high school. It was so nice reconnecting with everyone! Josh and I took Sean grocery shopping and then had a quick lunch together. Jack came over and the kids all played outside together. We all had a great day.

Today was 4th of July. We had a full day with lots of fun things. We woke up early for Josh's race. His Mom and Dad also ran the race. We headed out at 5:15. The half marathon was out on Sauvie Island. Josh kicked butt and got the fastest time he has ever gotten for a half marathon, 1:41:30. I was so proud of him!!! Michele did great also! After the race we came home and rested for a little bit. Then we headed out to the park for a picnic with our whole family, mine and Josh's. It was so nice to get all together instead of going to two different places. The kids had a great time running around the park and the food was great! The kids were so excited to do fireworks and they begged the sun to go down all day. Before fireworks Josh built a fire in the firepit and we roasted marshmallows. Josh's family came over for fireworks and we all sat in the driveway together and walked Josh's firework show. He always does such a great job! Parker and Emma watched a few but then they went to bed. Carson and Cooper loved the fireworks so much!! It was a perfect 4th of July!
Sunday, July 4, 2010
Today the sun came back out. We were all so excited! Jack came over and the kids all played on the slip and slide. We spent the whole day playing outside. Josh and I went to dinner with his parents. We walked around Bridgeport a little and spent the night at Josh's parents.
Saturday, July 3, 2010
Today we were up bright and early. We took Carson and Cooper over to Grandma Michele's. They got to spend the whole day with Grandpa Jim. Emma and Parker spent the whole day with Grandpa Jerry. Josh and I went with his sisters, Nikki and Chelsea and his mom, Michele up to Seattle. Josh has never been up there, crazy. It rained the whole way up there but then the sun came up. We had lunch and walked around Pike's Place Market for a little bit. Then we headed to the huge mall and the opening of the House of Hoops store. Brandon Roy, Josh's idol was there opening the store. He was so pumped!! The opening was great. Brandon Roy was funny and Josh just loved being so close to him. I talked to his wife for awhile about kids. It was so much fun!
Friday, July 2, 2010
Today it was cold, rainy, and gloomy. It didn't feel like summer at all! That didn't stop the kids from playing outside. Emma and Parker spent the day with Grandma Michele and Grandpa Jim. Carson and Cooper played with Grandpa's tools and went to the reptile store. We are hoping the sun comes back soon! Josh and I went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Oba's. It was so yummy!!!
Thursday, July 1, 2010
Today we had donuts from the real donut store. The kids were very happy about that. The kids played outside all day, from 8am to 8pm. It was sunny and warm and wonderful, 70 is so much better than 105. By the afternoon it was getting warm so we went and got the kids a slip'n'slide. They loved it. Carson and Cooper played for hours. Josh and I threw them down the slide. Parker and Emma loved getting thrown. We BBQ and played outside until it was way past bedtime. It was a great day in Portland.
